Logo

The W.G. Grace logo got its inspiration from the message behind the brand itself. W.G. Grace was created as a symbol to remind people that if you’re passionate about something you must believe in it and must shield it.

Glass

All W.G. Grace timepieces are protected with scratch-resistant Sapphire crystal glass. When it comes to hardness, if diamond is 10, Sapphire is 8. The hard nature of sapphire crystals make it difficult for any scratches to penetrate through.

Case

Upon creating the first phase of the watch, we were extremely pleased with how the dial looked. The whole just felt like a celebration and it was only fair to engrave the back case with a Centurion Jump.

Lord’s

Centurion jumps are great moments for any sportsman in cricket but a centurion jump at Lord’s is extra special. Being our favourite ground, we wanted Lord’s to be symbolised in our timepieces. Therefore the circle on the back of the case was designed into the Lord’s cricket ground from a bird’s eye view. Can you spot the media centre?

Scoreboard

A traditional cricket scoreboard looks vintage and is a significant part of the game. Without the scoreboard, spectators will not be able to tell the score. Our timepieces ‘Scoreboard’ with a square boxed date get their inspiration from a cricket scoreboard.

THE NIGHTWATCHMAN

The Nightwatchman is a lower-order batsman who comes in to bat higher up the order than usual near the end of the day’s play. The significance of those dark moments that are looming around the field with a rather mellow sunset inspires this classic time piece. Can you think of why our brand name appears in a light shade of yellow?
